Fall 2022 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

10-week Program: Sept 6 - Nov 13, 2022

Solstice Yoga Teacher Training is a combination of traditional eastern and modern western yoga practice. Our training is well-rounded and appropriate for the dedicated yogi who would like to start teaching yoga as well as the student who would like to delve deeper into the wisdom of yoga. 

 

You’ll come away with:

  • the skills to prepare and teach a class

  • a deeper yoga practice applied both off and on the mat

  • new confidence in your voice

  • life-altering personal growth and transformation


 

This Yoga Teacher Training focuses on intelligent sequencing based in biomechanics and anatomy knowledge supported by hands-on assists and alignment. Straightaway, you will experience teaching poses and creating sequences so that during the entirety of the 200-hours, you have the opportunity to build your personal teacher voice and presence before you step out to teach on your own. 

 

We’re honored to offer this Yoga Alliance Registered Certification in order to provide an opportunity for you to listen to your body’s needs and intuition to benefit both your practice and that of your future students.  

 

Upon completion of the training you will receive a Solstice Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training Certification, registered and recognized by Yoga Alliance.

Adriana Lee is a Las Vegas born yoga teacher and yoga teacher trainer. She is all about self discovery and empowerment through yoga. She teaches her students how to breathe, how to feel, & how to get reacquainted with their bodies. As a teacher, she breaks down big concepts & complicated poses into bite sized pieces to make them more accessible. Her teaching is based in anatomy & biomechanics. Students leave the class feeling refreshed, connected to their bodies, & empowered. 

 She says, “My yoga journey began when I was too young to understand the importance of what I was learning - I thought it was just exercise. But it made an imprint on me. Later, yoga helped me to heal past traumas, body dysmorphia, & more. It became my safe haven. I learned to be strong, resilient, & most importantly I learned how to navigate my emotions rather than numb them. That’s what made me want to teach. I wanted to teach people to heal their own minds and bodies.“ Her intention is to share what she has learned about the magic of movement & the bliss of being.

Clair Thomas

Clair Thomas is an authentic yoga instructor with more than 5 years of experience teaching yoga, teaching and giving Reiki, teaching dance fitness, giving Aromatouch, and training on Nutrition Solutions. She has a passion for guiding students to reach for finding pleasure in their yoga practice through proper, safe alignment and breath. Clair enjoys bringing connection to the class, community, and individual yoga practice. She aims to connect yoga back to a place of overall wellbeing and a lifestyle commitment to encourage her students' lifelong relationship with spiritual, physical, and emotional health through a consistent yoga practice.

 

Clair has taught hot vinyasa yoga, Hibs Yoga, and Reiki restorative in Las Vegas and Honolulu. The experiences she had with each of the different styles led her to brand her own style of yoga - Clairity Yoga - that focuses on proper alignment, use of props to enhance the practice, and a focus on both strength and flexibility. Clair has taught a variety of workshops, has been a mentor teacher for yoga teachers, and is working on curriculum development for an upcoming 200-hour yoga teacher training in Las Vegas. Yoga is not just her practice, it is Clair’s passion and way of life.

Samantha Okumura has been teaching group and private yoga classes for over 5 years and believes that the yoga practice is a powerful tool for healing physical and emotional trauma. Her classes place emphasis on intelligent sequencing, alignment and the subtle aspects of the practice to help the student build a sustainable and strong self-care practice .

Samantha has led vinyasa, hatha and restorative classes through the Bay Area and Las Vegas area and now offers several Hatha Flow classes at the Downtown Yoga & Wellness Co-op as well as a free Chair yoga to the disability community weekly.

Join Clair Thomas & Adriana Lee on this deeply nourishing two hour journey focusing on balancing the chakras & creating harmony in the body!

Chakras are whirling vortexes of energy lying on seven different points on the spinal column, which are connected to different glands & organs in the body. They are responsible for the distribution of Prana, or life force energy. When there is a disruption or deficiency it may affect the individual in different areas of their life.

In this workshop we will incorporate pranayama(breathing techniques), Yin yoga asanas, and mantra (sacred sounds) to balance & activate the chakras. Custom blends of essential oils designed to help find inner equilibrium will be used throughout the session. Expect to leave feeling blissfully balanced & peacefully restored!

I have attended this festival three years and have gotten to see it grow and expand with the growing Vegas yoga community. I feel so grateful to be on the schedule at this amazing event in my very own home town!

Gathering people in one place at one time allows the yoga community to connect in new ways and over the past two years, VGY!F has fulfilled its purpose of connection and collaboration amongst teachers, practitioners, artists and wellness enthusiasts. The 5th annual Vegas Gone Yoga! Festival will be held on October 6,7 and 8th 2017 at the beautiful Springs Preserve, a peaceful 180 acre nature retreat just three miles from downtown Las Vegas. With over 40 workshops and styles of yoga on the schedule, VGY!F hopes to accommodate the wide range of practitioners and yogis attending the festival.
